Project Description: CenturyLink will be performing utility work near the SR 128/SR 193 Intersection and the Red Wolf Bridge between milepost 0 and 1 and SR 193 from the intersection with SR 128.  

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
SR 128 and SR 193: Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, June 5, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., drivers should prepare for short delays as flaggers direct traffic through the work zone near the SR 128 / SR 193 intersection and the Red Wolf Bridge.

SCR 2020 Region Wide – Chip Seal and Pavement Preservation

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of sections of US 12, US 97, SR 225, and SR 823 by chip seal, pavement and bridge deck repair.  Pavement cracks will be sealed on sections of I-90, US 97, SR 221, SR 224, SR 241 and SR 903.

SR 221 Both Directions of Traffic at MP 23 to MP 26 (SR 221 section just out of Prosser): 
Wednesday June 3 and Thursday June 4 both directions of traffic should be prepared for one-way piloted traffic control during daylight hours.  Traffic delays up to 15 minutes are anticipated.

SR 224 Both Directions of Traffic at MP 0 to MP 6 (Benton City to West Richland Vic.):
Friday June 5, in both directions of traffic should be prepared for one-way piloted traffic control during daylight hours.  Traffic delays up to 15 minutes are anticipated.

 

US 395 Pioneer Memorial Bridge – Bridge Painting Stage 1

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of US 395 MP 18.75 to MP 19 in Benton and Franklin Counties, by cleaning and painting the metal surfaces of the bridge and other work.

I-82/SR 397 Interchange EB – Emergency Bridge Repair

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement Bridge 82/268 on I-82 from MP 114.39 to 114.41 in Benton County. This work shall include but is not limited to providing temporary traffic control and temporary detour as needed, installing concrete barrier, and an impact attenuator, installing delineation, removing one damaged girder, a portion of the concrete bridge deck and the concrete traffic barrier over that girder and other work.
This project is due to be completed by Fall 2020

SR 224 MP 5 (east of Keene Rd.) - City of West Richland – Paradise Way intersection and Utility extension

Project Description: This is a developer project within the City of West Richland. Work includes widening the highway and constructing a new at-grade intersection along SR 224 with right- and left-turn channelization, illumination, sidewalk, and new utility installations.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Drivers can expect shoulder and single lanes closures with flaggers Monday through Friday during daylight hours as crews work to widen the highway.

US 395 Safety Corridor Improvements & E Elm Rd to SR 17 SB  Paving

Project Description: This projects provides for the improvement of US 395 in Franklin County from MP 24.64 to MP 46.10 by rehabilitating the existing roadway, including crack sealing, planing, paving, illumination, ITS, furnishing and installing one cantilever sign structure, permanent signing, constructing acceleration and deceleration lanes, recessed pavement markers, rumble strips, roadway delineation, traffic control.
This project is due to be completed by Late July 2020.

Right lane closure and speed reduction will remain in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week for striping activities.

US 395 NB and SB Milepost 25 to 26, Foster Wells Rd:
Right lane closure and speed reduction will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week for roadway and miscellaneous work activities. 

US 395 NB Milepost 28 to 31, Phend Rd to Crest Loch Rd both:

I-90 MP 33 to 52 468th Ave SE to W Summit RD - Westbound Rehab Concrete

Project description: This project is two seasons and will rehabilitate concrete panels and shoulders along this section of I-90. This project is to be completed sometime in late fall of 2020.

Bicycle detour is in affect for this project.  Detour starts at MP 54 WB Exit (SR 906/Hyak Interchange).  Detour maps can be found on a post just after turning left at the end of the exit ramp.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
I-90 milepost 33 to milepost 52 westbound:

Drivers can expect night time intermittent lane closures between milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near Snoqualmie Pass. Night time work may reduce traffic to one lane. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.


I-90 - 468th Ave SE to W Summit Rd Concrete, Deck & Culvert Rehab Eastbound

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C-Add Lanes/Replace Snowshed

Project Description: Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snowshed with avalanche bridges.

I-90 Bullfrog Rd Vic-Concrete Rehab, Bridge Deck Rehab and Painting

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of I-90 by cleaning and painting the metal surfaces of the Cle Elum River Bridges, eastbound and westbound, heat straightening, steel repair, pier concrete spall repair, modifying expansion joints, scarifying concrete surfaces, further deck preparation, furnishing, placing, curing and texturing concrete overlay, also including non-bridge work by constructing and removing temporary roadway, constructing and removing temporary bridge replacing PCCP lanes and panels, cement concrete pavement grinding, weigh-in-motion replacement, guardrail installation, paving HMA shoulders, and roadway delineation. This project is due to be completed by Summer, 2021.

I-90 eastbound MP 79 to MP 81, Single Lane Closure:
No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week.

I-90 westbound MP 80 to MP 81, Single Lane Closure:
Monday June 1 and Thursday June 4, westbound traffic should anticipate intermittent rolling slowdowns during daytime hours.
Monday evening June 1 through Saturday morning June 6, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane during nighttime hours. Minimal delays are anticipated.

Bullfrog Road Interchange (Exit 80) Westbound Onramp Closure:
No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week.

 

I-90 - Yakima River Bridges Deck Repair

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of 3.65 miles of E/B I-90, MP 121 to MP 126, 10.83 miles of W/B I-90, MP 125 to MP 136, 2.85 miles of of E/B I-82, MP .6 to MP 3.5, and 2.6 miles of W/B I-82, MP .6 to MP 3.2 by planning bituminous pavement, shoulder repair, crack sealing, paving with HMA pavement, pavement markings, guideposts; and .10 miles of I-90 from MP 136.6 to MP 136.7, by removing 3-strand cable barrier from the median and installing 4-strand cable barrier. This project is due to be completed by Fall of 2020.

SR 903 MP 1.6 - 2.0 (Peoh Ave to Billings Ave) – City of Cle Elum – First Street Stormwater & Billings Ave Intersection

Project Description: This is a local agency project within the City of Cle Elum.  Work includes new stormwater and utility facilities, including new curb, gutter, sidewalk, HMA paving, and landscaping.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Drivers can expect shoulder closures along SR 903 (First Street) between Bullit and Pennsylvania Avenues Monday through Thursday during daylight hours.  The local side streets will be closed intermittently with detours in place direction travelers around the work area.

SR 903 MP 3.35 (east of No. 5 Mine Rd) – City of Cle Elum – Deneen Drive intersection and Utility extension

I-90  Puget Sound Energy - Utility Work

Drivers can expect the on and off ramps to be closed at Exit 75 .  A detour for Exit 75 will be in place using Exit 73.
